TRAINING TO SOLDIER...

3 months of not updating my post. Here's my last post before going to tekong.

Feeling nervous yet excited. Gonna make myself calm down first.

I will be back in two weeks time so stay tune! :D

Is it really the end? Looking at current situation, I guess so... Sometimes, people just take things for granted and wait for it to happen. But, they didn't realize that every moment is a chance.

We may think that : oh, there will always be later or don't worry, there will be more opportunities. This is totally a wrong mindset!

This guidance from sensei always run in my mind.

Sometimes I do really hated myself as an gemini. Having an indecisive mind is a fatal factor. I gonna know what I really want and stop being a frinkle minded person.

Fire Dancers group photo

Time flies, Aug 14 is over. I felt so empty with my tues, thurs and sat :(
6 months of trainings, sweats, burns have finally paid off in our performance.

Flash backs....

During March, we were selecting our group and practicing the basics. Played around different props like poi, stave, rope dart etc and in the end, i got into fire poi group.

During April, we started to learn our choreography which took a long while to master the skills. Hitting our own head or other parts of our bodies and burst into laughter was a common scene to all of us. Some of us were fast learners while some took quite a while to master the tricks. We had our own group trainings apart from our normal training times. In the end, we managed to pull through.

During May, we started playing with fire and overcoming the fear of it. It was quite overwhelming at that time. As i learnt to respect the fire, I begun to enjoy myself with it and started to do my choreo with confidence. It was a hard one but i managed to overcome the fear.

During June, we started to do our formations and runs at mandai hill and floating platform. It was a hectic one as we have limited time to complete our formations before proceeding to floating platform. The weather was affecting our fire run during our training sessions. On top of that changing in our choreo from time to time and changing our prop to double poi do gives us a lot of challenges. But we managed to pull through again.

During July, we landed on marina floating platform. Done a lot of dry runs, music runs and fire runs. Got our costumes which doesn't fit on us despite the fact that the tailors did a detailed measurement on us O.O . Filled with cork liver oil smell on us. Weight was an issue to us as our poi got double increase in size, weight , flame and heat. So all of us had free waxing sessions on our hands, legs and even our hair.. Despite all these obstacles in front of us, we came together and chant lots of diamoku and gave encouragements to each of other. And once again, we managed to survive.

AUGUST, final preparations for our costumes was finally done. Almost everyday is filled with YOG trainings, fire retardation and rehearsals. But it was fun and enjoying. However, sanshoshima started to appear. People were falling sick and admitted to hospital (Shiling), but our spirits were never dampen by all these factors. All of us were in high spirit! On the actual day just before our actual performance, there were dark clouds above the floating platform. All of us started chanting diamoku to ensure the good weather of the entire opening ceremony. In the end, our performance went smoothly and we scored total victory!

I would like to pay my gratitude to Xyn, Wilson, Dixon, Ben, Chun, June, Romi, Nigel, Jerry, our gate ics, our fire safety crews, our logistics crew and most importantly, all of us ; D Without everyone's efforts, it would not have been so successful!

Well every good things will come to an end. Can't wait for 27 and 29 Aug to come! Keep spinning people and all the best those who are involved in Bornfire 2010! And for those who wanna learn poi, there will be workshops organized by bornfire during sept to oct period :)

A value creating week

Feeling tired after coming back from YOG CR. Had continuous training for the past two days..

Muscle aches from swim and training, not to forget roasted hand during music run. My arms are not obeying me.

My left elbow is not feeling good too, gonna get elbow guard.

On a lighter note, I have been doing house work or maybe abit for the past two days. I'm glad i have made a small breakthrough. Well at least it's a good start for myself who is so lazy.

Well gonna stop here for now. Going for a morning run.

P/s: I'm smelling my wide angle tmr :P

Went to makan at Popeye. Was spending most of time watching Tom and Jerry. Laugh like some Kuku..
Had a quick talk with xy. Nice catching up with you.

Intend to take bus 56 in end, due to some technical issues. Decided to take a walk down to city hall to take train. Took me 10 min to reach. Didn't know i could walk so fast..

Back home at ard 1150..Pack my stuffs, clean my camera and now here i am editing photos.

For the past few weeks, i was at the rock bottom of my life. Talking and doing rubbish. And I just realized that sometimes, I find it hard to share my problems with some people.

Maybe partly because i don't wanna show people that i'm weak. Seriously, man's ego and pride kills. But somehow, i may not treat you as my comrades. It was until recently when i talked with wp and kent, I broke down in tears. Not saying out things that bottle up in my heart makes me feel breathless. Felt relieved after telling them everything.

Looking ahead, I'm still figuring out what do i wanna do, gonna reset my prayers and goals.

Finally i'm updating it now..decided to throw everything here instead of bottling in my heart...

Some unhappy stuffs happened today. first thing in the morning, receive a reject email from SIT. hai.

After which, my brother relationship end in a stupid manner..

Looking at this really makes me ponder about myself. If that person is ignoring you, might as well don't bother about her. But she wanna screw up your entire life, ask her to f*** off .

Frankly speaking, i shouldn't say that but sometimes such stuffs does make me feel irritated.

Not on form for the past few days..kept neglecting my practice. As a result, Low life condition.

Although i know everything based on faith but somehow, sashoshima just kept attacking me.

Plus long hours of working, totally tired to the max..

Gonna stop here. Shall continue another time...

Well.. I know this blog is getting dusty, too busy to update.

I'm still stuck at what to write for SIT application. Man, why must we write personal statement?

Busy with shooting for SYM and editing photos for the past few weeks.

Just got out of job recently, went for a interview at Laura Ashley. Might start work next week.

Back to retail job again. It's the best to do our human revolution (HR) as i will be meeting all kinds of people from different paths of life. Gonna chant for high life condition and wisdom.

Apart from work, gakkai, there's something which made me confused. After all this years, I didn't realize that the one that looking for is just beside me..but i have doubts with myself. looking at her sometimes really make feel that I'm inferior. Am i really too wishful in my thinking?

I have no idea at all...

FINALLY, I got my SB 600 from my friend's uncle shop! The sales was great. Although the damage done was quite alot, I still love my new equipment =DD Gonna test out for tmr photoshoot at sym rehearsal tmr..

Gotta rent lens for the stage play, wide angle or telephoto? 11- 16 or 70 - 200 ?

Any pro out there who can give a good advice?

3 years of poly education is coming to an end...

I know i should not be here blogging...

Can't help but to pen down some thoughts ....

Sometimes, i ask myself, what is the purpose of education?

Finally MST ended with a Bang!

Due to delay of my pay...i have to wait another 6 more days before i get my D90.

Came back from Malaysia lifesaving comp last week. Manage to hit my personal best of 30 sec for 50m freestyle. Despite not getting any medals for my team relays, we managed to get 1st for one of our heats. Followed by 2nd in manikin relay and 3rd for obstacle relay.

It was a great eye opener for us to catch a glimpse of traditional lifesaving...

Wosh! I have PASSED my Bronze Cross Test today!

Got the same examiner as my bronze medallion few months back..

One down, now left with malaysia lifesaving competition from 31st OCT to 1st Nov at Johor.

Must go back by next week for training.

Guess my time table are much better than last few sems.

Mon 10 - 5

Tue 10 - 2

Wed 8 - 12

Thurs 8 - 5

Fri 8 - 12

At least i can work one weekday and two weekends. But study must come first.

Coming to last sem before i graduate from SP.

Well, I must not play too much. And I must never let the environment to affect me too much, else history will repeat itself.

Lastly, I must get my dslr when i come back from malaysia. D90 or 500d?

Please Gohonzon, i must have the wisdom to make the right decision.

I will defintely use it to contribute back to gakkai through taking the beautiful moments of each and every single meeting.

Just like how ikeda sensei took photo of nature using his heart.

Gonna use it for nov institution meeting with charlie using his 500d =P.

Sometimes, I have no idea what on earth am i doing when i know chanting diamoku is the best solution to it.

But one thing for sure, i will not drop faith..

From one perspective, gongyo and daimoku are lyrics and songs. They are an ode to life. I hope, therefore, that your gongyo and daimoku will be such that even people who are not practicing will be favorably impressed by the sonorous and invigorating sound of your voices. That too will contribute to the spread of kosen-rufu.

Gracious me , I have not been updating for a long time.

Time to pen down something.

As on 2nd April 2009, I'm have officially passed my bronze medallion test.

Why is it that sometimes our prayers seem to not be answered? This is a manifestation of the Buddha's wisdom-so that we can deepen our prayers, become stronger people, live more profound lives and secure deeper, more lasting good fortune. If our slightest prayer were answered immediately, we'd become lazy and degenerate. And we couldn't hope to build a life of great dignity and substance.

HAHA. Thanks to the flu bug, I didn't go for work =(

Slept till 12 plus before pulling myself up to do my stuffs.

Rot till 6 plus before going out to have dinner.

And here i am..

Boring day for me.

Well i guess i kinda lost touch abit from gakkai recently and faith.

Must get back on track to fight for V.I.V.O. campaign.

Did not do well as the pillar of my family. Must encourage my family to come back to the prime point of faith.

Gonna sleep. Working tmr.

Let us do our utmost to sustain the wonderfully warm atmosphere of the SGI-an atmosphere where members feel free to discuss whatever is on their minds. Unless we do so, our organization will stop growing, stop developing. The SGI is a world of humanity-of the heart, of faith, of compassion. It is a world of unity and mutual inspiration. That is why it is strong. If we continue to value and promote these qualities, the SGI will continue to grow and develop forever. I want to declare here and now the atmosphere where we can discuss anything is fundamental to the SGI.

On request from SOMEONE to update my blog, here's my post after two weeks of work...

Work was intially bored but managed to blend in the environment. Managed to make more friends. =)

Institution Meeting was abit diao but the emcees were great. Drama Queen and Epic captain. HAHA.

Went over to npsd meeting to have a combined encourgement by jihyang. Finally the seagulls has meet the lighthouse! Took a combine photo with npsd.

Went down to ms with li ming and kent. Talk crap on the bus journey.

Went to see kenneth and tianying's project exhibition. After which, went to crush it show. Managed to check out prices for hardisks and DSLR.

Sony A300 looks damn tempting as they offer alot of freebies that includes dry box and hardisk compared to Nikon and Canon.

Went to try out both A300, A350 and Eos 450d. Well can say both Sony and Canon are not bad. Just that i feel sony camera is still needs to improve alot in DSLR areas.

But the Image Stabliser( IS) function in the Sony body is better than canon. In the end, i decided to get Eos 450D with two lens and battery grip for my birthday. HEHE...

I wanna put my feelings into my photos and give a peace and inspiring feel to those who see it.

And finally, i finally get back my results and managed to get into year 3.

My results is totally a roller coaster, like a sine wave. =.="

Therefore i must fight hard for the last 2 sem. Next sem shall determine my entry to uni.

24 module credits project. Woots~~

And my swimming is improving day by day. I love using flippers to do butterfly stroke.

Training for competitions...Hopefully my spine doesnt cause trouble to me...

Friendship is strong. Friendship, camaraderie and unity in faith lie at the heart of the SGI. They come before the organization. We must never make the mistake of thinking that it is the other way around. The organization serves as a means for deepening friendship, comradeship and faith. To confuse the means and the end is a terrible mistake.

Today was a day of thoughts, fun, training and rot...

Mechanics II was a good but disappointed attempt today.

Kinda screwed up....

Gonna put in more efforts in my diamoku and for the remaining three...

OF ALL modules...two electronics and one engineering for straight three days is total brain explosion for me. Poor me~~~

Went to vivo for carl's junior to eat.

Back at tpy for gym and swimming with bro.

Well today was kok sheng and my class mate birthday.

Strength is happiness. Strength is itself victory. In weakness and cowardice there is no happiness. When you wage a struggle, you might win or you might lose. But regardless of the short-term outcome, the very fact of your continuing to struggle is proof of your victory as a human being. A strong spirit, strong faith and strong prayer-developing these is victory and the world of Buddhahood.

Today is valentine time day. Went out with the girls (Zi jing, samantha, huimin and angela) to IMM.

Supposed to meet at 5 30, end up all of us were late.

Makan at Aijsen ramen.

Talked and crapped about almost everything. Being the only guy, I was abit weird.

After which we went to walk around IMM.

And angela went to giant to buy pots and pans for her mother. HAHA! Ended up i helped her carry around giant =.=" But it's ok since it's light.

Then walked back to jurong east mrt station.

Saw an car accident along the way. The victim is lying motionless on the road while the driver called the ambulance. Lesson learnt : Don't jay walk and wear light color clothes if you are tanned or dark during the night. Sorry but I'm not being racist as the victim is a Indian national.

Conclusion for today: THANKS BABES for asking me out today and i must be patient and observant at everything. Lastly, we must not assume anything.

My friend who happened to be a photographer wanna sell his D4ox for $550 as he will be upgrading his view finder to D300. 0.O

He approached me and asked me. It was so tempting that i wanna buy from him.

However i got budget which is like $500. Really don't know should i get from him?

Gonna discuss with my brother. I gonna sell some stuffs to get more cash.

Just a bit of update of what going around my life...

After two donkey years, my ultimate bag has finally arrived...

Got it at queensway for 143 bucks. Just happened to pass by the shop and check out, and the owner told me there will be medium black one coming in the afternoon. It was coincidence that as he does not have the stocks for 3 months until now. It's the only piece he had. So without thinking further, I asked the owner to reserve for me. Went to collect it after school before heading back for training.

One target down, next shall be spectacles. Gonna look for nice frames.

Started to save money for my DSLR. Most prob getting either Nikon D90,D80 or Canon EOS 450D.

Gonna plan out my budget. Might be looking out for 2nd hand DSLR.

Didn't know that there's a lot things to take note while looking for a 2nd hand.

For instance, how much shutter has been used, warranty etc...

Gonna look out for the best offer that i can find or wait for the next IT show to check out the offers.

Well nothing much to update also except for getting more ang baos from visiting.

Suffering and undergoing hardships for the sake of friends and for spreading the Law shows the sense of responsibility of a genuine leader and is the behavior of a bodhisattva. There is no suffering or hardship that a Bodhisattva of the Earth cannot surmount. So no matter what happens, I would like you to steadily advance one step at a time, always chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo with a vibrant voice.

Just wanna share this with all of you...

Faith Requires Persistence and Struggle
"The darker the night, the nearer the dawn."

SGI President Ikeda often mentions that significant achievements are produced by desperate, behind-the-scenes struggles.

It was recently reported that the U.S. government approved a genetically engineered drug that is expected to relieve the chronic anemia suffered by thousands of people with kidney disease. It seems that, once injected with this drug, many people with serious kidney ailments will no longer need frequent blood transfusions.

The discovery of the drug was actually the personal determination of one scientist who worked day and night on this particular project. The chairman of the biotechnology firm that owns the rights to the drug said of the scientist, "He has an extraordinary energy level and incredible persistence."

The odds of finding this particular genetic blueprint was compared to searching through ninety editions of the Encyclopedia Britannica to find a single sentence. The scientist's former project director said the feat compared to "finding a sugar cube in a lake one mile wide, one mile long and one mile deep."

For three years this man struggled day and night, rarely seeing his wife, two young sons and infant daughter. Other scientists thought the project might even kill him. His research assistants ultimately abandoned him, thinking that a discovery was impossible.

Finally, upon his success, he stated that he always believed he was right. He said, "People look on you like you are a dummy or a failure. They don't know how tough it is. A scientist dissolves his career into nothing if he does not succeed.

The same principles hold true in the world of faith. SGI-USA General Director Williams is fond of the saying "the darker the night, the nearer the dawn." This means that at the moment we are about to give up, we must once again determine to fight on, chanting daimoku until we break the shackles that forbid us from realizing our drerams.

For example, if we pour water into a large cup filled with sand, it appears as if the sand merely absorbes the water without an effect. If we add enough water, however, the sand eventually reaches its saturation point and the water spills over the side.

The practice of Buddhism requires action after action, with the spirit to persist, no matter that, until our dreams are finally achieved and our sufferings alleviated. Courage and tenacity are the keys. The Gosho states:

Therefore I say to you, my disciples, try practicing as the Lotus Sutra teaches, exerting yourselves without begrudging your lives! Test the truth of Buddhism!
(The Major Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, vol 3, pg 181)

The scientist who stood alone and painstakingly fought to reveal a healing drug has left a legacy that will ultimately benefit mankind. The philosophy of true Buddhism, which the world is waiting for each of us to reveal, will benefit mankind to an even greater extent. Perseverance in faith is vital to that quest.

Many unexpected things happened this month...Shall not talk much on it. I will never look back anymore and move forward. To retreat is not to advance. I must never do that anymore. And please! NO MORE SHANSHOSHIMA FOR NOW! I must get both of eyes check. If not sure go blind...

For now i gonna focus more on SPSD 25 anniversary. 81 YMDS and new friends. Gonna plan strategy plus I must keep pushing myself to reach 39 secs for 50m free style. I MUST get into com squad! Nothing much left.

On the other hand, to do, create or contribute something that benefits others, society and ourselves and to dedicate ourselves as long as we live to that challenge-that is a life of true satisfaction, a life of value. It is a humanistic and lofty way to live.

By doing morning and evening gongyo, let's create a steady and strong rhythm in our lives.

From deep within our hearts, let's create a whirlpool of victory in our lives!

*"Gongyo is a daily activity in which we purify and prime our hearts and minds. It is starting engine for our day, like grooming ourselves before we set out for the day."

"Gongyo and daimoku are a ceremony in which our lives commune with the universe. During gongyo, through our faith in the Gohonzon, we vigorously infuse the microcosm of our individual existence with the life force of the macrocosm, of the entire universe. If we do this regularly each morning and evening, our life force--or engine--is strengthened."

Guess shanshoshima is attacking me now. Apparently my right eye is losing abit of power to see clearly since my training earlier. Hopefully this would not last for long. I must not be defeated! Buddhism is about win or lose.

I must wake up my idea and get back to chanting again!

Leo Tolstoy concluded that the only way to bring about a fundamental change in society is to realize a change in public opinion, a change in people's minds. Then how can we change public opinion? Tolstoy asserted: "It is only necessary for people to say what they really think or at least to refrain from saying what they do not think." It is vital, in other words, not to be swayed by others' opinions or past ways of thinking or doing. Instead each of us must become wise, possessing our own firm convictions.

Thoughts after having study meeting with my iics...

I have realized that I'm not as good as what you peeps think...

Thoughts have been running through my mind at that point of time.

For some reasons, things that happened this year was flashing in my mind...

Going to burn soon.

For once i was really thinking alot of stuffs.

Don't know how to explain. Abit sensitive to put here...

Conclusion:

I'm not as great as what you think.
I'm just a average joe who only know how to talk big and no actions, who knows how to be as scheming ; trying to act pitiful to win people' trust.
I'm not someone who like to entertain people around. Cool is my true nature.
I'm a introvert person who doesn't like to express himself openly.
I'm a total boring guy who will only make people bored to death.

Buddhism holds that everything is in a constant state of flux. Thus the question is whether we are to accept change passively and be swept away by it or whether we are to take the lead and create positive changes on our own initiative. While conservatism and self-protection might be likened to winter, night and death, the spirit of pioneering and attempting to realize ideals evokes images of spring, morning and birth.

Just when i thought things has ended for time being...

My body gave up on me...

Damn, now i got caught by flu bug .

And i realized that I'm not a pro in soccer. AND tpsd guys are pro.

Always zham the ball just to score the goal. SCARY~~

Conclusion...

I'm good in sea sports, not land sports...

It's better to use swimming and surfing to win them. HAHA. CRAP...

And i gonna psycho myself to do more chin ups to keep myself fit ! =X

Went to makan with my iics while the tpsd continue to play soccer.

Walked to ica and slacked before changing my uniform.

Managed to see vanessa and chuzen performing with soka junior choir and wd choir respectively.

Joke of the day : Bing han thought chuzen is my mother from the way how she dress? HAHA!

Home sweet home after that. Forgotten to do zhaimu.

Watched KR kiva ep 45. Looks like the story is getting interesting but sadly it gonna end!

Fast forward........

Tmr gonna be a LONG day at SYC. I must be devil this time while the rest be angels.

I must firm on my stand.

Dont know what to write about.

President Toda used to say: "Don't be impatient. Since you have embraced the Gohonzon, your situation will definitely improve. There's no need to worry. Sure there will be hard times, times when you feel like crying. But as long as you have the Gohonzon, your life will become bright and joyful." As long as we persevere in faith, we will become happy. We must never doubt this no matter what happens but always advance resolutely, staunchly enduring all hardships and obstacles along the way. This is what true faith is.

WELL Well well...

Young lion GM was a success. Nevertheless, that's when the real battle begins.

Shall not talk much today. Not in a good mood today due to unforeseen circumstances. I need to chant lots of diamoku to have a lot of wisdom to tackle this.

Gonna play soccer with tpsd ymds. I gonna go easy tmr as i got duty to do in the afternoon at HQ.

Outward appearance is not important-what counts is what is inside our hearts. Are there heart-to-heart bonds? Some families may always be together physically but are estranged at heart. Some families can only get together for brief periods but manage to enjoy concentrated and lively heart-to-heart communication when they do meet. Families that share bonds of closeness based on day-to-day efforts are ones in which the members feel comfortable and at ease with each other, no matter where they are or what they're doing.

Just make a quick before i knocked out...

Just came back from training. Today is hell but I like it, mental endurance. Did a few sets of free style and life saving backstroke for time trial.

Here's my best timings for both items if i can still remember...

Free style 100m : 1 min 39 secs

Life saving backstroke 100m : 2 min 33 secs

Gonna keep pushing myself to the limit to unleash my full potential.

Did around 30 laps of swimming, resulting in flabby body. Haha.Went for makan with seniors. swallowed down two bowls of rice. Too hungry due to the fact i didn't have my lunch and dinner. Went home with qing wei and the seniors.

Well there's something has to be done to the flint gathering. Group ICs are not doing their jobs. Well i gonna pump in more diamoku for this great success for this big gathering!

Visiting my friend at changi hospital tmr. Sensei Video tmr.

Not going for training on thurs, got 4 div planning meeting.

Hmm, that should be about it.

The good fortune that accrues to parents who apply themselves diligently to SGI activities will protect their children without fail. Based on this conviction, you must still make positive efforts to open and sustain dialogue with your children, not allowing yourselves to neglect them, claiming that you're too busy or it can't be helped, or telling yourselves that somehow things will be taken care of. Unless you exert yourselves in this way, you are irresponsible parents who lack compassion.

2nd week of hols...

Just finished entrance exams. Kinda screwed up for the essay questions. Hopefully i can score from the front section. Went off to east coast for BBQ. It seem that there's no atmosphere for this BBQ. Not alot of the students turned up. Walked to whampoa zone BBQ. Played games with them. Looks like ymds must know more difficult songs so that the ywds will not get to win and eat the food. Haha.

Went home around 10plus with the group. Took 31 back.

Well round 2 BBQ today. Gonna stay overnight at east coast today. Night cycling today. Gonna make it a fun one.

Apparently , i twisted my left ankle due to using flippers to swim on thurs. Guess i have exerted too much strength on my ankle. Damn. Nevertheless, the passion for swimming will never stop over this minor injury.

Thoughts about my career, well some of my friends were commissioned as officers on last sat. While looking at their pics, this question was pop out to me; Will i be able to be as good as them? Excel at all aspects? Will i be able to influence and inspire people to become capable people in society? Well before i continue to think, I must polish myself first. That's one of the important factor.

Before i go off, just wanna share a phase from WND ( writings of nichiren daishonin).

It says;" Arouse deep faith, and diligently polish your mirror day and night. How should you polish it? Only by chanting nam-myoho- renge-kyo. (WND I, pg 4)

Joy is not simply your personal, egoistic happiness. Nor is it making others happy at the expense of your own happiness. You and others delighting together, you and others becoming happy together-this is the Mystic Law and the wondrous thing about our realm of kosen-rufu. The Daishonin states, "Joy means that both oneself and others have wisdom and compassion" (Gosho Zenshu, p. 761).

First day of holiday and it was raining cats and dogs. Went to help my father to carry some stuffs to my grandmother's house. It was bit trouble some to carry the stuffs as it was raining. Nevertheless, we managed to moved the stuffs smoothly to my grandmother's place. Rot for an hour before heading back home.

Finally managed to do my favorite hobby , model kit assembling and painting. =)

Bought this gundam for about half a year ago and put in my cup board until today.

In any earnest struggle, there come crucial challenges-mountains that must be scaled and conquered if we are to win. In Buddhist practice, too, we face such crucial challenges. If we hope to advance kosen-rufu and attain Buddha hood, then we must prevail over these mountains.

Simply not in the mood to do anything. I have no idea what on earth am i doing for the past few weeks. Guess I'm on the verge of getting sick soon. Well sometime I really wish that i can throw everything aside and just stone. I'm really stuck at a junction, not sure of which step to take.

I don't do anything half -hearted and what's the point of doing things that you don't like to do?

Guess , I will disappear for a while after kenshu to take a short break. So people don't bother come and look for me. I will not bother to look for all of you also.

Now I really hope i can fall back and go back to my deep sleep.

Maybe I'm just too tired to think of anything.

Now still thinking should i register for the OCBC Cycle Singapore 2009‏. Super tempting sia!

40km cycle from floating platform to east area by major roads and back to floating platform.

Please be confident that the higher your flame of altruistic action burns, the more its light will suffuse your life with happiness. Those who possess an altruistic spirit are the happiest people of all.

Just wanna share a poem by Ikeda sensei;

"Those who keep

Challenging themselves

Without cease,

Triumph in the end

And are eternal victors"

Tmr is my first paper, I must persevere till the end.

BOO! One day gone without doing my revision. Good luck to myself.

Wasn't myself since this morning. Went to see flint 5 gathering before heading for training.
Went to make my islander pass while waiting for my friend. My pic was kinda look weird, should have bring my ic photo to make it. Haha.

Reached palawan beach with the seniors at around 9 plus. Did swimming, surfing and canoeing for around 6 sets plus 4 capsizes and bites from the sea bugs . Kinda pissed with the board as the handle was faultly that hinder my launching.

Went off to siloso beach to join the gathering. Both YMD and YWD chiefs were there having dialogue with the flint 5 students. Managed to invite both of them for our flint gathering. We have also invited all flint 5 students to this gathering. So just to advertise here...

After which, went home with zi jing, kenneth and ivan. Well when zi jing asked me about getting a girlfriend, this was my reply. Who would want to be with someone that take sailing as a career? Haha..Plus i think i have too much commitments. So this will be put on hold.

Well just an update of what's happening for this week, I have kinda passed my life saving 1 to 3 exams, just that i need to redo my EAR ( Expired Air Rescitation) on land. Once i complete this, I will be offically a lifesaver! Gonna chiong for my BM in order to become a lifeguard, in order to do that, I have decided to giving the 3 jan a miss as a trainer. Sorry Ky =/

Had test, presentations during this week. Left with mechanics and electronics devices term test.
I must make full use of my time, must make my time productive.

Guess time is getting late. Off i go...

If I were to make an allegory, thought and philosophy would be like the heart or respiratory system of the human body. When the heart is sound, the whole body can maintain healthy activity. This same principle applies to both the individual and society. The SGI has a mission to serve as the heart that ensures the healthy functioning of society. Consequently, taking good care of the SGI, (the heart) allows the fresh life-giving blood of humanism to flow to and nourish all areas of society, including culture, politics and the economy.

Oh no... this 2 weeks gonna fill with tests, presentations, life saving exam and maybe Home visits...I'm a bit lost on what to do now. Cannot procrastinate anymore.

Well, went for training at sentosa. Forgot to put my shorts in my bag, ended up buying a new one for 21 bucks. Crazy man. Went to surf and canoeing ,sprinting with seniors plus beach run. Looks like i need to train my stamina. My timing is like damn slow. (FYI: my friend's record is 2min 5 sec for canoeing and sprinting along the beach.)

Went home after that, didn't manage to go anime fest at suntec. Took a nap till around 5, had dinner before going for zhanlankai. I was the emcee for the meeting. Guess I'm abit nervous, sweated like nobody business. Overall it went well.

Well nothing much to update about this week. Nevertheless, I told myself that i must at least one breakthrough before my next zhanlankai, so that i can share with my district and sd members.

To conclude to entry for today, I will share a gosho passage. It said;

"From the Gosho, The Strategy of the Lotus Sutra:
"Faith alone is what really matters. No matter how earnestly Nichiren prays for you, if you lack faith, it will be like trying to set fire to wet tinder. Spur yourself to muster the power of faith. Regard your survival as wondrous. Employ the strategy of the Lotus Sutra before any other. Then, just as the sutra says, "All enemies are crushed." These golden words will never prove false. Believe them wholeheartedly. The heart of strategy and swordsmanship derives from the Mystic Law. A coward cannot have any of his prayers answered."

The Daishonin explains the significance of cause and effect: All sutras other than the Lotus Sutra expound that Buddhahood (effect), can be attained only after having made good causes, that is, practicing their teachings (causes), over a length of time. With the Lotus Sutra, however, the very act of embracing it (cause) enables one simultaneously to become a Buddha (effect).

WELL WELL WELL... As usual, I didn't go for morning gongyo earlier in the morning with my parents. Slept until 12 noon before having my brunch ( breakfast + lunch). Went to Ntuc for grocery shopping. And here I am, resting before commence my studies.

For the next weeks, the stress level will be increasing. Projects, reports, tests and spls are gonna be tough for me. On top of that, I need to arrange hv for my members to pass them the saha diary.

Nothing much to talk about here.
